Kawakawa and Manuka oils are two of the most commonly used natural oils in New Zealand for their skin healing properties. Kawakawa (Macropiper excelsum) oil is derived from the leaves of the Kawakawa tree, which has been traditionally used by the Māori people for its medicinal properties. The oil is rich in antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and analgesic compounds, making it ideal for treating a range of skin conditions including eczema, psoriasis and acne.

Manuka oil, on the other hand, is derived from the leaves and twigs of the Manuka tree, which is also native to New Zealand. It is known for its antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal properties, and is often used to treat skin infections, wounds and burns. The oil has also been found to be effective in treating fungal infections such as dandruff and athlete's foot.

When combined, these two oils create a powerful blend that is highly effective in moisturizing, healing and protecting the skin. The blend is particularly useful for those with dry or damaged skin, as it helps to soothe and repair the skin, while also providing a protective barrier against environmental damage.

Overall, the use of Kawakawa and Manuka oils in skincare is a testament to the healing power of nature, and their popularity in traditional Māori medicine is a testament to their effectiveness. If you are looking for a natural and effective way to moisturize and protect your skin, then a blend of Kawakawa and Manuka oils may be just what you need.
